Simple elegance

"It was in the line of her neck, and the way wisps of black teased along porcelain skin. Dainty hands held her hair up, the rich fabric of the kimono flowing down raised arms. His eyes trailed over slender shoulder and admired how she held herself.

Regal and proud, and he’d never tell she was born a street-rat.

She wore pink and it caused his brows to furrow; it never was her color, pale like the forever blooming sakura trees and a hue away from the white saved for Death.

It was the color of her Brother, and for him, she should never wear anyone’s hues … except his."

Taking advantage of a lazy Sunday afternoon/evening, this bloomed in my mind.

Rukia getting ready; perhaps for a Summer festival? She's taking her time, the room dark and warm and she pays no attention to the person watching her.

Rukia's pose was refferenced from a photo from a photoalbum on geishas that I have at home. The way she holds her head gave birth to the title of this picture.

Who's watching her? There's one small little thing that might give it away, but it also can be whoever you want it to be (well, except Byakuya, if what I wrote would be any sign **winks**)

I hope you enjoy, as much as I did while drawing.
